HOW IT WORKS.

BIDS2U features great merchandise and services from a worldwide marketplace from individuals and companies scanning the entire globe, this really is a worldwide auction marketplace where you can buy and sell almost anything. Using auction-style bidding, you can place bids on items available from these worldwide vendors and, if you are the highest bidder, you can pay for and receive items directly from the vendor all in a few simple clicks. Bidding on items is controlled by the BIDS2U software, this software accepts and places bids on your behalf and oversees the whole bidding process to ensure a complete and secure process from start to finish. A predetermined set of guidelines that are explained in the FAQ’S / terms and conditions governs the entire process on behalf of bidders.

How do I participate in BIDS2U?

BIDS2U bidding is as easy as…

1. Determine the maximum amount you are willing to pay for the item you are bidding on. That will be your Maximum Bid. Your Maximum Bid may not necessarily be the price you pay if you are the successful bidder (you may pay less, but never more). However, choose a maximum carefully as you won't be able to reduce or cancel it later and you'll be legally bound to pay up to that price if it is the winning bid.
2. Register yourself as a Bidder. You will need to provide some basic details such as your name, address, phone number and email address etc. The unique User Name assigned to you will allow you to track the progress of your bids online through BIDS2U.
3. Once bidding has commenced, search or browse for the item you wish to place a bid on and enter your Maximum Bid for that item.

What does it cost to participate?

We have a four coloured band system in place within the auction system, you start off on the  "Black Auction Hammer" and you have to pay a final fee of 3% to us on completion of any / all auctions at the price agreed on sale. ie = you sell an item at £10  - we deduct 30p ( or the equivalent in $ US Dollars or € Euros) which is collected by us automatically by credit card or egold for example (whichever payment provider you prefer). The more items you sell the cheaper it gets, here are the scaling fees for selling items with us = 

Black auction hammer - 0 to 25 sales 3%

Red auction hammer - 26 to 50 sales 2.5%

Blue auction hammer - 51 to 100 sales 2%

Gold auction hammer - 100+ sales 1.5% 

When the bidding ends, you will be contacted by email / notified on your BIDS2U account panel if you hold a Winning Bid for any item; you can then look through the payment options and choose from within your BIDS2U account panel to make your payment for goods purchased.

How do I keep track of my bids?

The website always shows the current status of each item, as well as your personal bid history. You can also keep a 'watch list' of those items which you wish to track.

If you are outbid on an item by another bidder, you will receive a notice via email / BIDS2U account panel. In this case, you might want to consider placing a new, higher Maximum Bid to still try to win the item.

How do I pay for and receive items with BIDS2U?

If you hold the Winning Bid for an item after bidding closes, you will either pay for your winning bid online at this auction site, or directly to the vendor of the item. You will receive payment instructions by email /BIDS2U account panel as soon as bidding closes. We recommend using the following payment methods for paying fees and paying for goods. You need to hold an account with at least one of the payment providers listed below so we may collect our fees when due. You will need to enter your choice/s of payment provider/s upon joining BIDS2U. You can pay for your items by £ GB Pounds Sterling / $ US Dollars / € Euros.

What is the BIDS2U Reserve Status?

Each item has a Reserve Value. This is the minimum amount that bidding must reach for the item to be sold. The Reserve Value is approx 50% to 70% of the actual Value of the item but the reserve price is ultimately up to you. If the Reserve Value is not reached through bidding, the item will not be sold.

During the course of bidding, each item will display one of two Reserve Statuses:

Reserve not met. The amount of the highest bid is less than the Reserve Value and the item has not yet sold.
Reserve met. The amount of the highest bid is at least as much as the Reserve Value and the item will be sold to the highest bidder.

Featured Items?

Featured Items are shown on the home / front page of our website. These include 1 photograph of items for sale (if applicable). These Featured Items are randomly revolved over a 24 to 72 hour basis and this is free of charge. At a later stage we will give you the option of paying for this prime position for the duration of an auction.

BIDS2U Usernames and Passwords.

The BIDS2U site is very secure and once you are logged in we have a security certificate in place to secure your account panels. The internet is a wonderful tool to use and learn from but unfortunately the internet has its downsides also. One of these is the fact that certain unscrupulous parties will try to “infect” your computer. They can do this by way of viruses and Trojans. We highly recommend you have installed on your computer anti virus software and a firewall. The most commonly used software can be found at = www.symantec.com. Some of the most common types of these viruses and trojans can effectively “steal” your usernames and passwords etc by you simply typing the information via your keyboard. We would strongly recommend you use software called “Typeitin” this will enable you to enter your usernames and passwords without physically typing it in (hence the name). It can be found at = www.wavget.com. It is freeware so there is no initial cost but you can upgrade to the professional version which we also recommend you to do so. Please remember BIDS2U is by no way responsible if you lose your passwords and someone gains access to your account.

As BIDS2U customers you can choose to buy and sell goods in the following currencies = £ GB Pounds / $ US Dollars and € Euros. Now to make it all a bit easier for us all we have included a currency converter at the bottom of every page within the BIDS2U website. Simply click on the www.xe.com link and you will be taken to the currency converter website. From that point you can enter the desired currency and convert it to whatever currency you need to.
